DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 01: Negombo

• On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative and directly transferred to Negombo (20 minutes’ drive).
• Check-in to hotel and spend your time at leisure.
• Dinner and overnight stay at Negombo hotel.

Day 02: Negombo – Dambulla

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Leave for Dambulla (approx. 4hrs drive from Negombo).
• Enroute visit Dambulla Cave Temple, famous for its five cave temples with Buddhist murals and over 130 Buddha statues.
• Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Dambulla.

Day 03: Dambulla – Minneriya National Park – Dambulla

• Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure.
• Afternoon transfer to Minneriya National Park for a 4×4 jeep safari (4hrs).
• Spot elephants, wild buffaloes, wild boar, deer, sloth bear, crocodiles, jackals, and over 160 species of birds.
• Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Dambulla.

Day 04: Habarana – Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky”.
• Travel to Kandy, en-route visiting Matale Spice Garden to see and learn about Sri Lankan spices.
• Evening visit to Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic, an important Buddhist landmark.
• Check-in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 05: Kandy – Peradeniya – Kandy

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Enjoy a local cooking demonstration and learn to prepare Sri Lankan rice and curry dishes.
• Transfer to Peradeniya to explore the Royal Botanical Gardens, home to over 5,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers.
• Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Travel to Kandy Railway Station for a scenic train journey to Nuwara Eliya (subject to ticket availability).
• Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya hotel.

Day 07: Nuwara Eliya

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Full day Nuwara Eliya city tour: colonial buildings, Lake Gregory, Victoria Park, Sita Amman Temple, and tea-covered landscapes.
• Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08: Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Leave for Yala via Ella.
• Transfer to Yala National Park for a 3hr jeep safari to spot elephants, leopards, wild boar, buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, and a variety of birds.
• Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09: Yala – Udawalawa

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Leave for Udawalawa and visit the Elephant Transit Home to observe orphaned or sick elephants being fed and cared for.
• Transfer to Udawalawe National Park for a jeep safari to observe herds of Asian elephants in their natural habitat.
• Check in to your hotel in Udawalawa. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Udawalawa – Galle – Bentota

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Leave for Bentota (beach stay) via Galle.
• Explore Galle: stroll around the lighthouse and harbor, visit the old town, see traditional lace makers and carvers, and shop for shell-craft souvenirs.
• Proceed to Bentota (approx. 2hrs drive). Check-in to the hotel and spend your time at leisure.
• Dinner and overnight stay at Bentota hotel.

Day 11, 12 & 13: Bentota (Leisure)

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Full day at leisure to relax and enjoy the beach.

Day 14: Departure

• After breakfast at hotel, depart for airport to board your flight back home.
