The Ghorepani Poon hill trek is one of the most popular short treks to the Annapurna. During the trek, you can see breathtaking mountain scenery and visit the beautiful ethnic villages. Compared to other trek, this trek is easy, it has enough walking along streams and forests for those who are looking for a few days close to nature, yet it is not far away and involves no high climbing .In this trek, You have no risk of altitude sickness . This trek can be done all through the year.

Ghorepani Poon hill trek is also known as Annapurna sunrise trekking. During this trek, you can capture some of the best snaps of impressive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The phenomenal sunrise from Poon Hill is just unforgettable. In spring season, it is quite wonderful to watch the forests with full bloom of rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal.

 

Day 01:  Trek from Pokhara to Ulleri, Driving 1 and half hours, Hiking 5-6 hours.

The trek starts from the beautiful Modi Khola River, after an hour of drive from Pokhara .Crossing the suspension bridge over Modhi Khola River, we ascend through ethnic villages and farm terraces enjoying the views of Machhapuchare peeking between the hills.

Day 02: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani, Duration 4-5 hours.

In the next morning, we will start our trekking towards the one of the beautiful village, Ghorepani. Overnight will be at lodge.

Day 03: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani, Duration 5-6 hours

Next morning we make an early climb of one hour to the Poon hill for the spectacular view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri and other famous mountains of the region. From Ghorepani, we descends towards the Tadapani.

Day 04: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk, Duration 3-4 hours.

From Tadapani, we descend for the beautiful Gurung (name of a community) village of Ghandruk on the lap of the Annapurnas. The village is known for its traditional houses, rich culture and the great landscape.

Day 05: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, Duration 4 hours, Driving 1.5 hours.

In the next day, from Ghandruk, we descend towards the Nayapul and drive back to beautiful city Pokhara.
